Next Door

Recovery-focused housing for women!

The NextDoor Program is a 9- to 12-month recovery-focused housing program for women
who are committed to building a life of recovery, stability, independence, and purpose. The
program provides a safe and structured environment where women can grow personally, develop
essential life skills, strengthen their recovery, and prepare for successful independent living.

You can be a part of change

This program gave me the safe structured environment I desperately needed to rebuild my life. With the support of my director and the community, I have been able to focus entirely on my recovery, do the hard external work, and have confidently stepped back into the workforce.

Please reach out to discover all of the ways that you can partner with us in our NextDoor program!

YOU ARE NEEDED!

I have been a resident here at NextDoor for approximately 6 months. I love this program and it has done so much for me. I know going into this new chapter of LPR will be better than anyone could imagine. Having Ms. Vera and Ms. Stephanie has been the best change that could have been made. They are amazing and wonderful and I think there couldn't be anyone better for their jobs. I can't wait to see what's in store for the program and the community.

How our program works:

weekly recovery meetings

RECOVERY & PERSONAL GROWTH

PEER CHECK-INS

Residents participate in weekly meetings that provide encouragement, accountability, education, and opportunities to discuss challenges and successes in recovery.

Throughout the program, residents are encouraged to identify personal goals, develop healthyroutines, strengthen their recovery support network, and prepare for life beyond the NextDoor Program.

Regular peer check-ins allow residents to receive individualized support, encouragement, and accountability from individuals who understand the recovery journey.

MONTHLY OUTINGS

LIFE SKILLS / INDEPENDENT LIVING

SHARED MEAL PREPARATION

Residents participate in monthly outings that encourage healthy social interaction, sober recreation, relationship building, and positive experiences in the community.

Residents learn practical skills necessary for successful independent living. This includes meal planning and preparation, household responsibilities, communication, time management, personal responsibility, and other skills needed to maintain a stable home and healthy lifestyle.

Residents participate in preparing meals together, creating opportunities to learn cooking and nutrition skills while building relationships, teamwork, responsibility, and a sense of community within the home.

Residents participate in monthly financial literacy and advocacy classes through United Way of Rome & Floyd County. These classes help residents develop budgeting, money-management, financial responsibility, and resource-navigation skills.
